“Hunter Biden Ready to Take the Stand: Public Testimony Requested by Congressman Comer’s Subpoena!

Hunter Biden, the youngest son of former Vice President Joe Biden, is eager to testify in a public forum following a recent subpoena from Republican Congressman Jim Comer for his testimony, a lawyer for Biden said. In the past, Hunter Biden has been at the heart of numerous political controversies, but his lawyer insisted that his client has no interest in appearing in front of the Republican-led House Oversight Committee following Comer’s subpoena. According to Attorney Chris Anderson, Hunter Biden would instead choose to appear in a less partisan and more public forum. Anderson clarified that Biden’s appearance should not be considered a refusal of Congressman Comer’s subpoena. The subpoena from Comer was issued on grounds that Biden had knowledge of potential violations of funds stemming from a meeting between his father, then-Vice President Biden, and representatives from a Ukrainian oil and gas firm in 2014. Anderson has stated that Biden is willing to answer questions about the meeting that have been raised, but not to take part in a politically-motivated witch hunt. Anderson also accused House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of weakening the legitimacy of Comer’s investigation by promoting unsubstantiated conspiracy theories and partisan attacks instead of facts. Anderson made clear that any investigation into the meeting should focus on relevant facts from both sides and not on partisan attacks. Furthermore, Anderson said that he would soon respond to the subpoena and that his response would be made publicly available. He also clarified that even though Comer has requested a closed-door hearing, Hunter Biden is still willing to testify in a less partisan and publicly-visible forum. Anderson concluded his statement by asserting that Hunter Biden is committed to staying out of the political gunfight and is instead looking forward to a calm and factual examination about the meeting in question.
