“Sen. Cruz Does Not Mince Words: VP Harris’s Palestinian Sympathy ‘Undermines Israel’

Texas Senator Ted Cruz just put Vice President Kamala Harris on watch. On a recent interview with Fox News regarding the war between Israel and the Hamas, Cruz criticized Harris for promoting Palestinian sympathies in her diplomatic efforts. Cruz’s concern is that Harris would be allowing the terror organization to use the significant recognition as a means of advancing their effort to “instantiate separate Palestinian state”. The Vice President has been adamant about placing Palestinian sympathies above the defense of Israeli citizens during her exchanges with leaders in the Middle East. Cruz went on to compare the Biden admin to the Obama administration, asking the public to remember “the disaster of the Obama-Biden deals—the billions of dollars that were given to Iran that ended up with them Obama’s statement during the Iran deal negotiations, ‘We have their backs.’” Cruz went on to highlight that Biden and Harris have already made millions of Americans upset with their military cuts and their increased taxes while “we have 60 million Americans out of work,” that the budget should be focused on their recovery. The Texas Senator continued to express his disbelief saying “It is ALMOST stunning that Harris has no empathy for the Israelis who are slaughtering of civilians, of women, and children and targeting Hamas like she does with the Palestinians.” This stance Cruz has taken is pretty consistent with previous statements he’s made. Cruz previously threatened to do the same if President Biden went on to recognize a Palestinian state as his Secretary of State pick Antony Blinken has. It seems that the two have been butting heads quite a bit lately. No matter how you feel about the Vice President, Cruz’s comments should make you think twice about the aid package which is intended to contribute nearly $235 million in aid funds to support the Palestinians. The real take away here is that Cruz is making it clear that Biden and Harris must prioritize American interests and policies, ensuring that Israel feels safe and secure in the region rather than doing what will only bolster the Palestinian efforts.
