“PAM Powers Up: 100% Acquisition of ~1,200km2 Tama Atacama Lithium Brine Project

Pam Signs Formal Documentation to Acquire 100% Interest in 1,200km2 Tama Atacama Lithium Brine Project Pam Resources, a leading international energy company, has signed formal documentation to acquire 100% interest in the 1,200km2 Tama Atacama Lithium Brine Project, with the expectation of beginning production in the near future. Pam Resources is focused on supplying lithium brine to the growing electric vehicle (EV) industry as well as other technology sectors. The company made the commitment to acquire the Tama Atacama Project after successful test results of the first sample drilling revealed high concentrations of lithium beneath the Atacama Salt Flat in northern Chile. Pam Resources has signed a formal agreement with long-time Chilean partner, Reimers Ink. The agreement subsumes all prior agreements and replace them with a definitive joint venture agreement between the two companies which carries with it a total commitment of $55 million. The Tama Atacama Project is located in the highly prospective Antofagasta region which is equipped with various advantages such as world-class infrastructure, skilled labour force and hydroelectric power. Located over 127km (78 miles) of the Atacama Salt Flat, the project has ideal conditions to produce lithium brine efficiently and economically. The agreement between Reimers and Pam Resources involves capital investment by both partners to acquire and develop the project in addition to technological sharing between them. The funding will be used for exploration and development work over the project area with a particular focus on advancing the project into production within the shortest timeline possible. The Tama Atacama Project is estimated to possess enough lithium resources to sustain 24 years of mining, with the potential for further exploration to find additional lithiated resources in the surrounding area. With its centralized location in a vast geothermal belt, the brine project is positioned to meet domestic and international demand for lithium with a sustainable supply. Pam Resources and Reimers Ink are looking forward to the completion of the acquisition in the following months which will be followed by rapid development. The two companies are confident that the Tama Atacama Project will become a major supplier of lithium brine for the next several decades.
